Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate – NITES Formerly National Information Technology Employees Senate – NITES is working extensively for the welfare, rights, justice & empowerment of IT, BPO & KPO professionals in India. NITES is supporting workers facing illegal terminations, layoffs, reduction in wages, forceful resignation, deduction of earned leaves, denial of Maternity Benefits & various other employment issues. Our immediate attention and actions are focused on strengthening & uniting IT/ITeS/BPO/KPO Employees. Founded on 15th of August 2020, due to the alarming rate of layoffs and forced resignations, Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate – NITES accelerated its efforts and picked up the fight for worker rights in the industry with fresh rigor. So far Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate – NITES have raised issues of more than 1,83,000 employees and have filed petitions in Labour Ministry, Labour Departments and District Magistrate against illegal terminations, Reduction in wages, forceful resignation, deduction of earned leaves, forcing employees to apply leaves as vacation, Maternity Benefits & various other issues. Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate – NITES is also spreading awareness amongst employees regarding labour laws and encourage them to unite and now more than 27000 employees have joined us on various platforms.
